The humble business card, what is it worth?

Let me ask you, if you had just one quality business card that lead to a huge contract for you, worth lots of income for your business, would you even think about how much your business cards cost?

I suspect that you wouldn't.

If you paid  $200 for your fabulous business cards, and it landed you $10,000 worth of work, would you forget that initial $200?

People approach it from the wrong angle, think of what your business cards are for, or any other marketing material for that matter, to generate income, and you will start to see things a little differently.

If you are purchasing your business printing based on price alone and it looks like everyone else's then you are missing the point. If you purchased 250 marketing cards that are based on an online template and are cheaply manufactured are you going to stand out?

Someone once said to me something that stuck with me. "If you invest in a cheap set of business cards, you may not win new clients, but you could certainly lose some"

Think about what you want to achieve with your little marketing card and ask yourself whether you want to be run of the mill and not stand out or have your marketing card as a talking point, noticeable amongst others cards

Whether you have been in business two days or two years, your new prospects don't need to know. You only get one chance to make a first impression, so make yours a great one.
